Nowhere else can you experience the German language, history and culture so intensively and vibrantly as in Germany itself: for school classes, universities and other study groups Carl Duisberg Centren offers language courses with a special supporting program, which is tailor made for that target group. Let yourself be enchanted by the capital Berlin, the Rhine metropolis Cologne, the beautiful countryside in Radolfzell on Lake Constance or the tri-border area Saarlorlux! Plan your educational trip to the sights that you have always wanted to visit and we’ll take care of the organizational side. In the lessons, on trips and in German host families you will receive a spirited impression of the country’s culture.

High School Programme Germany

Even as early as the beginning of the last century for the German entrepreneur Carl Duisberg there was no doubt that success in business as well as in one's private life is closely connected to the acquisition of intensive experience in a foreign country. In times of increasing globalisation of the economy and politics the best provision for a promising future is attendance at school in Germany. Germany – the home of state-of-the-art technology as well as rich cultural traditions – is an exciting option for attendance at a high school and offers many advantages.

Examinations

In a globalized world the internationally recognized examination and certification of foreign language skills gain more and more importance. This is the reason for Carl Duisberg Centren to provide the European language certificates of telc on levels B1, B2 and C1. Prospective students can take the official language examination “TestDaF” at all Carl Duisberg training centers in Germany, and those who have to provide evidence of their competence in Business German can choose the “International Business German Examination” (Prüfung Wirtschaftsdeutsch International, PWD) or the test “Business German as a foreign language” (WiDaF).

  • General German Language Exams: The general German language examinations of telc are oriented, exactly the same as the course levels of Carl Duisberg German courses, towards the level system of the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages" (CEFR). As a result, Carl Duisberg Centren offers you, after completion of your German course, on the levels of B1, B2, and C1, an opportunity to document your learning success through the respective telc exams. These exams are administered by all Carl Duisberg training centers on a regular basis. Upon request telc examinations can also be administered on the levels of A1 and A2.
  • Examinations for University Applicants: Foreign university applicants who would like to study at a university in Germany must show sufficient German language knowledge before they can commence their studies.
  • Business German Examinations: Language course participants who want to test their language level in the area of business German or simply need to verify corresponding skills in this field, may do so through two options that are offered by Carl Duisberg Centren: the exam “Business German as a Foreign Language” (“Deutsch als Fremdsprache in der Wirtschaft”, WiDaF) and the “International Business German Examination (“Prüfung Wirtschaftsdeutsch”, PWD).
